We are what we eat, but vegetables and fruits don’t stay fresh for a long time, especially the half chopped vegetables change their color and get spoiled.
Buying them regularly is out imagination as the costs of veggies and fruits are touching the sky these days so, today we are here to introduce you to few tips which can help us to keep vegetables and fruits fresh for a longer time.

1. Wrap all the dry vegetables in a paper towel and place them in a plastic bag, this works out well with leafy vegetables like lettuce. Just make sure that the paper towel is not too wet.

2. For half cut vegetables you can just place a paper towel over the cut and wrap it in a plastic cover. It will prevent the vegetable or fruit from getting spoiled or from changing its color.

3. Fresh and clean carrots can stay crisp if the top part is cut and closely wrapped in a plastic bag which can be prevented from evaporation or can be stored in an airtight container. They will last up to a week or longer rather than go rubbery.

4. Ginger, potato, garlic and sweet potato should be placed in the dark as sunlight makes them sprout and inedible.

5. For beetroots cut off the top part and then store in an open container covered with a wet cloth.

6. Wash berries with vinegar and water in 1:3 ratio, after that again wash them with water and dry them by wiping off the water. Once they are dried you can place them in the fridge this way they will last longer.

7. Why cut a whole lemon and waste it just for few drops, instead of that you can use a fork to pierce and squeeze the juice. this will help lemons to stay fresh for a longer time.
